At AELC, the teachers and educators develop an emergent curriculum to explore learning with children in areas of interest, recognise their sense of agency and nurture their lifelong curiosity for knowledge and understanding.

Our Connection to Country and Culture

We acknowledge the Wurrundjeri People of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn and play.  We pay our respects to Elders past and present and acknowledge the important role that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples continue to play within our communities. We recognise that connection to country, culture, community and identity is an integral part of our curriculum. We are committed to creating opportunities for children to develop respect, understanding and appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, culture and perspectives.
