At AELC, we're more than just a community kindergarten — we're a family. And like any family, we thrive on the support and involvement of each member.

There are numerous ways you can get involved and make a difference:
-
Joining our Committee: Shape the future of our kindergarten by lending your expertise and ideas.
-
Engaging in Fundraising: Help us raise vital funds to enhance our programs and facilities.
-
Becoming a Class Representative: Serve as a liaison between parents, teachers, and the kindergarten community.
-
Participating in Working Bees: Roll up your sleeves and pitch in during our maintenance and improvement projects.
-
Offering Parent Help during kindergarten sessions: Get hands-on with your child's learning experience and contribute to a nurturing environment.
Your involvement is not only welcomed but essential to the success of our kindergarten. Together, we can create a vibrant and enriching environment for our children to learn and grow.

Working Bees
One of the vital ways to actively engage and contribute is through our Working Bees, where we rely on the collective efforts of our community.
Throughout the year, we'll host four Working Bees, each playing a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our kindergarten environment. It's our hope that every family will participate in at least one session, in addition to our final end-of-year clean-up.

Your involvement in these sessions not only helps maintain our facilities but also fosters a strong sense of community spirit.

Committee
Our Center's Committee of Management comprises dedicated parents who generously volunteer their time and expertise. Together, they play a pivotal role in steering the strategic direction of our kindergarten and overseeing its day-to-day operations.

From ensuring the upkeep of our facilities to managing finances, promoting our programs, organising fundraising events, and fostering a vibrant community spirit — our Committee takes on a wide range of responsibilities. They are the driving force behind our Center's success, working tirelessly to create a nurturing and enriching environment for our children.

Fundraising
Our community kindergarten is dedicated to year-round fundraising to improve our programs and facilities. We host a diverse range of events including our annual Bunnings sausage sizzle, chocolate fundraising boxes, silent auctions featuring donated items and experiences, bake sales, social gatherings and more.
Your participation in these events is crucial to helping us raise funds that support our nurturing environment, ensuring every child thrives.

Class Representative & Parent Support
At our kindergarten, we encourage active parental involvement through two valuable initiatives. Becoming a Class Representative allows parents to serve as vital liaisons between fellow parents, teachers, and our vibrant kindergarten community. This role facilitates open communication, ensuring everyone stays informed and connected.
Additionally, our Stay & Play initiative invites parents to participate directly in their child's educational journey. By volunteering in the classroom, parents contribute firsthand to our nurturing environment, supporting teachers and enriching the learning experience for all children.
These initiatives not only strengthen our community bonds but also enhance the educational experience we provide. If you're a community member and one of these initiatives sounds appealing to you, please contact us and sign up today!
