After a long day of activity, all of us could benefit from a little relaxation and mindfulness. We did this with a spot of YOGA. The children were asked take on the yoga poses of the cat, champion, downward dog, tree, mountain, triangle, the invisible chair, cobra and the table.
The benefits of yoga for children are numerous. Besides being a nice calming physical outlet for the children, it also relieves stress, improves flexibility , builds muscle strength , enhances good posture, increases self esteem, promotes a mind and
body connection and focus and concentration.
