This week we began with Grandparents and Special People Day on Monday. The children had spent much time preparing for their special people and it was lovely to see how thrilled they were when their guests arrived. The afternoon tea went smoothly with children and guests trying the raspberry and coconut muffins and creating their own smoothies. The children enjoyed showing their special people around their kinder, particularly as some had never been to kinder prior to this afternoon tea. At the end of the session, the children sang two songs for their special people – Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, and Five Cheeky Monkeys. After their performance, the children gave their guests each a present and a card to thank them for attending. Thank you to everyone who came and made the day very special!
We still have the silk worms in our room at the moment. They have begun spinning their cocoons and the children are fascinated with the transformation. We look forward to seeing what happens next! Comments are closed.
