Welcome back to kinder Koala families! We hope that you all had an enjoyable break from kinder and look forward to the term ahead.
As the first day back is a staff day with no kinder, we only had one session this week. All of the children appeared to settle back in well and were soon playing with their friends as though there had been no break at all. A couple of the children had had birthdays during the holidays and were now four, so we sang happy birthday to them. The children also had a lot of stories to tell everyone in the group, so our mat time went a bit longer than usual. It was fantastic to see how much they had retained over the break of the ways we listen to each other at kinder. Often in the three year old groups, the children will be reluctant to start back after the break, however, all of the children seemed largely happy to see each other and share their stories.
In July, we will have class photos taken, plus an incursion visit from Farmer Sue who brings in a mobile farm and shows the children how to churn butter. We have much planned for the rest of the term, with Father’s Day coming up, cooking experiences planned and lots of learning to do!
