We have been rather fortunate to be able to spend some extra time outdoors as the weather while the Koala group are at Kindergarten has been very sunny. While outdoors the children have been able to practice their climbing skills. There are several children who are very co-ordinated and are even helping their peers. We all certainly have fun playing hide and seek. What great hiding spots they have, as apparently I need lots of assistance when seeking the hiders. This might seem easy to us as adults but for children many skills are emerging, such as turn taking, counting, following rules, working with others, participating, understanding the game. So much is involved.
Indoors there is a mother rabbit, Sally with her six babies. We will soon be able to hold a baby but while we wait we can look at them and talk about how little they are and when they will open their eyes. They grow so fast. They will be with us for another three weeks. If your family are interested in purchasing a rabbit please let me know soon as there has been some interest already shown.
On Monday 6/5/2013 we will have David the Music Man come to Kindergarten to entertain the children. David will show us and play various instruments and maybe even let some of us play some. We will show David how many songs we know.
I would like to welcome our new children and their families to our Koala Group. Thank you to James for letting us be part of celebrating his 4th birthday. The chocolate cupcakes were very yummy. There were many chocolate faces yesterday.
What will next week bring....................
