3 Year Old Koala Group Blog 28/11/2013
On Monday we stayed outdoors for most of the session as the children were very involved in the sandpit, climbing on equipment, building relationships and working as a team in different areas and also when packing away. Before going indoors the children wash their hands and then while waiting for their friends they read a story on the lounge. When going inside the children were all so helpful as well by putting their hats on their hook and then they sat on the mat. Great remembering and following routines. On the mat in our looking circle there were some flowers that someone had picked. We spoke about the colour, why it’s important not to pick all flowers and how they growing. This discussion lead to what people require to grow and survive. Of course different types of foods were mentioned. The Food pyramid chart was examined again.
On Thursday many children were challenging their skills by jumping of the board onto the mats. They were certainly having so much fun, lots of laughter. They worked out turns and how to be safe so no one got hurt while jumping. When indoors some children have started drawing with their friends and what great creations they are designing. Some of the children who were painting at the easel added coloured paper for a different affect.
