On Monday we were able to spend time outdoors enjoying the many experiences. Some children were involved under the big tree using the trucks in the dirt while others spent time on the swing and even trying to push themselves....how talented...
Apart of our group this week for a short period of time we have three students from De la Salle College participating in Community Service. They played football/ ball games with some of the children and of course watched the children climb and encouraged their imaginative play in the cubby house. Indoors the hospital had several patients that required bandaging and needles “to get better” Hopefully there will not be as many serious accidents in the future as there was on Monday!!!!!!!!!! On Thursday as we all know the weather was absolutely terrible so we went indoors earlier than usual and yes the hospital was a popular destination. The block area saw several children work together to build a great construction. They co-operated with each other and of course communicated what type of blocks to use, where they can be placed and how high the blocks can /should be stacked. Safety was also a consideration. The three students from De la Salle College were with us again and we were rather fortunate to listen to Matt play some songs on his guitar. We spoke about what the instrument was called and how it is played. The children sang Old Macdonald had a farm, clapped their hands and some even wiggled to the different music that he played. Have you made an order for at least one tea towel and apron that has your child’s drawing /handprint on them. These are very precious mementos to have and make great gifts, especially for family members who live overseas. Please remember that your child has to wear a hat and appropriate clothing and sunscreen also has to be applied. From your 3 Year Old Koala Educators; Karen and Annette Comments are closed.
