The end of Term 3 as you all know resulted in many of us wearing our footy gear and celebrating a fun Term 3 by having a party where some of our families were able to participate. Thank you all.
Term 4 has started happily with many of the children letting us know what they got up to during the holidays. Such as playing with their trains, going to their granny’s for a sleep over, going to the beach or playing on their wii. Lots of adventures were had. It seems as though a few of the children have changed their names over the holidays as well, to “Star wars”, “Scary grandma” and “Darthvader” Have you meet these children???????????
Outdoors the children were very involved in the sand pit. Some did “cook” delicious cakes while other children were using the plastic pipes in different ways such as rolling them on the sand to make if smooth/flat and others turned the pipes upright and proceeded to fill them with sand and others dug holes and placed the pipes in the hole and then covered them again. There was some discussion about what pipes can be used for. Some climbing and running was also undertaken.
Once inside the children were very interested in participating in the hospital and caring for the babies as well as working out what the equipment is used for and how it helps make people better. Over the next few weeks we will see this knowledge and understanding developing further.
We look forward to a busy term where there will be many celebrations and some new experiences that will build upon the children’s skills, talents and knowledge that will contribute to their future adventures. Your involvement is always appreciated by your child and Karen and I.
