How great was the weather on Monday. We were able to stay outdoors and the children were able to finish off their gift for their dads, do some climbing, and of course spend some time in the sandpit. When the dads were at the Kindergarten we continued to stay outdoors so the children could show their dads how talented they are at climbing on the equipment. They were amazed at how some of the children could climb up, over and down. Some children and their dads kicked footballs, and others worked in the sandpit or under the big tree transporting sand and/or dirt from place to place.
We gathered together on the verandah to sit down to share the delicious food that families had brought in. We were rather fortunate to have some of our mums stay as well. We would like to thank you for all your help during this time. Everyone seemed to enjoy eating, sharing the food and talking to their dad and friends. Before going home we gathered on the verandah to give dads their gift along with a big cuddle and to say I love you. We hope that you all enjoyed your time at the Kindergarten with your child. Thank you so much for coming
On Thursday some of the children spent time in the sandpit adding different amounts to saucepans and frypans that were on “stove” “cooking.” Some used their imagination when using the farm animals by creating stories and others practiced their running skill up and down the verandah. It was a rainy day. Karen and several children participated in playing a game called” Duck duck goose”. By being involved in this game the children were learning about taking turns, playing games with others and following rules. They were also encouraging and congratulating each other.
Hope to see you at the Kindergarten’s Trivia/auction night on Friday night or at the cake stall on Saturday at Our lady of Lourdes School.
On Monday the children will see some animals from Farmer Sue’s farm.
