On Monday, did you know that we spent most of the session outdoors as the children were very involved in active play. Many climbed on the large A frames. They had to work out which way to go.....up, over, down or through. They could co-ordinate themselves to successfully move along the equipment. Others climbed on to the boards and were able to jump up and down and then of course they jumped off. Tried to fly I think!!!!!!!!
While looking at the tanbark we discovered different grass growing.....so off on a search for other things growing occurred......the children found more grass of different sizes and colours and a mushroom, which we discussed not to eat it unless an adult gives it to you
Indoors the shop seemed to be the main experience the children were involved in. Here some sat at the register while others brought their food. After paying for their chosen products they went home and started to use them in their cooking. Certainly lots of role playing was occurring.................................
Misha was the first family to take Chompy (our Koala) home.....hope you all had fun.
On Thursday some children went indoors to help Karen cook cheese and chives scones while many of us stayed outdoors playing a lotto game or moving dirt in the wheelbarrows. When we were outdoors we all participated in a runny game where we each had a turn running around the path while our friends cheered us. We all had lots of fun. Talk about energy. We have a new friend who started today and his name is Dylan, We would like to welcome you and your family to our Koala Group and Kindergarten Community.
Now back to the scones of course once they were ready for eating we all had one and YES they were delicious. I will provide the recipe next week for everyone to try. The chives used in the scones were grown and picked from our garden.......YUMMY YUMMY
