This week was a quiet one for the children as we had many away sick or on holidays. This can sometimes be disruptive for the children remaining and this along with the weather gave the children some challenges this week. Despite conflict arising a bit more often than usual, it was fantastic to hear the children using phrases such as “Stop it, I don’t like it” or “I don’t like it when you…”. This indicates that they are becoming more confident in conflict resolution. We also discussed respect of each other, talking about how you show that you like other people. This is a big topic to understand and the children all seemed to think hard about it when mentioned.
As many children have been away from kinder this week, this has caused the children to play with other children that they wouldn’t normally. It has been great to see some good team work happening while outside, building snowmen in the sandpit, constructing with blocks and setting up the train tracks inside. We have also begun our Father’s Day/Special Men’s Day invitations. The celebrations for this day will be a breakfast at kinder from 9am until 10. Those who have not received their invitations yet will next week. Jessica, Karen and Fiona Comments are closed.
