3 Year Old Kangaroo Group Blog 13/6/2014
The weather was so lovely on Tuesday afternoon so after discussion with the children they decided to stay outdoors for as long as possible. They were involved with climbing and balancing on equipment of various levels. The children’s skills are developing more and more.....Have you seen how much your child has built their skills??????
We looked at our vegetable garden to see how the vegetables are growing and we spoke about what else we could cook using the crop. We have been watching the seeds grow in the tins that the other 3 year old group have planted and the children thought they could decorate their own tin and then plant seeds and help them grow. Please bring in a tin for your child to decorate and then use for planting.
The children enjoy playing “What’s the time Mr Wolf?” During this game they are learning about numbers, turn taking, rules and group participation.
We also continued discussion about EMERGENCIES and what we have to do to be safe..................Do you have an emergency plan for home???????
Today was another sunny day so outdoors we stayed for running, climbing and “eating fish and chips” The mud was a great sensory experience for some of the children. On the verandah some of the children still enjoy moving along the metal pole...how their co-ordination is growing......The farm is a source of interest and imagination. Inside we discussed how many different body parts we have and what they are used for. Counting played a big part in this..........At the playdough table some of the children have continued their interest and skill with cooking.....more pizzas and cup cakes..........what will the children be up to next week............I know one experience will be, David the Music Man will be showing us so many instruments from around the world and of course there will be singing, some dancing and even playing an instrument.......................................
Have a great weekend everyone
