3 Year Old Kangaroo Group Blog 22/8/2014
Do you believe that there is only one more week left in August??????
The sun has been shining for most of the week so we have spent some time outdoors building up our vitamin D intake........I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that your child has to wear their hat and sunscreen from September until the end of the year.
We would like to say a big thank you to Jessica and her family for looking after the chicks over the weekend....we hope they all behaved themselves. The children have spent time watching the chicks move around. Some of the children decided names for some of the chicks....Bruce, Jemima.........It was sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the week as they did make us laugh as well as giving us the opportunity to learn a little about what they like to do and how they got out of their egg.......and how they relate to each other...................
Cooking sausage rolls with Melanie, Gina and Karen was another experience that the children participated in early in the week. Of course the cooking success is measured in the tasting and yet again the children enjoyed the eating ........all had at least 2 each. Congratulations to everyone.
Fiona encouraged the children to design their own chick as well as talking to them about what they do and how they came out of the egg. There were many chicks created, great work everyone..... On Tuesday we celebrated Alice turning 4 and on Friday we celebrated Roxy turning 4. We would like to thank you for sharing your birthday’s with us. We all enjoyed our selves very much.
There was running, climbing and games played. The veggie garden was examined by some of the children while outdoors on Friday along with the discovery of many tiny purple flowers which fascinated many of the children.
Thank you to you all for a week of fun and learning........
