3 Year Old Kangaroo Group Blog 14/11/2014
We were only at Kinder for one day last week (Friday 7/11) so we enjoyed being involved with our friends and participating in experiences such as painting and clay. We also gave Dougie big cuddles and wished him and his family a happy holiday......they will be back next year for four year old.
This week while we were indoors first, we were involved with conversations about our environment and what we can find in nature. On the looking circle Annette showed us large shells, rocks, gumnuts and asked us where they came from. Of course we were able to answer her.....We also recalled other things that we can find in nature.
Caring for our surroundings is very important and we should think about what we are doing to continue to keep it healthy. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle...... Does this occur at home????
The silkworms have become a big part of our group experiences this week as they nearly have all spun their cocoons......Some of the children have been able to allow the silkworm to sit on the back of their hand.... “it tickles”, “its soft” has been some of the responses from the children who have done this.
I would like to thank all the families for providing an appropriate hat for when their child is outside.
Just to let you know that our last normal session for this group will be Monday 15/12/2014 and the Christmas Party will be Tuesday 16/12/2014 (invitation to be coming to you soon) and our Kindergarten Clean up day will be Friday 19/12/2014.
