3 Year Old Kangaroo Blog 25/4/2014
We would just like to welcome everyone back after the holidays. We hope you all had a lovely time and the Easter bunny was good to you all. We look forward to hearing about everyone’s adventures. We start back on Monday and there have been some furniture changes in the room but experiences such as easel painting, drawing puzzles and block building will be available of course. We will be having a Mother’s Day celebration on Monday 12th so please keep this date free. The children will be giving you an invitation so keep an eye out for it. This term we will continue with learning about our community and our families so your family photo, a photo of your home and your child’s favourite place in their home will be required so all the children can discuss their family and home. We will also be building children’s understanding about caring for their environment and building awareness about sustainability. The vegetable and herb garden and cooking with the children will play a part in this as well as participating in recycling. A Kangaroo will be introduced to the children during next week. The children will choose a name. During the term the Kangaroo will go home with the family who will be on fruit duty on a Tuesday and Friday. While your family has the Kangaroo its adventures will be documented (photos, drawings, writing) by you and your child and then on its return your child will talk to us about what they got up to. This gives the opportunity for your child to be responsible for someone else’s belongings as well as building their confidence and self-esteem We look forward to the many experiences and adventures we will all be getting up to during Term 2. From your 3 Year Old Educators; Karen, Fiona and Annette Comments are closed.
