GROUP A REFLECTIONS – WEEK 23RD/ 24TH APRIL 2014.
A short week to start term 2, but it was great to see the children so happy and looking forward to being back at Kindergarten, and catching up with their friends again.
As Easter was during the holidays and we weren’t here, the Easter Bunny was very clever as he realized that we would be here on Wednesday . During mat time there was much banging and knocking on the storeroom door, and when Margot went to investigate, she found a basket of Easter eggs, one for everyone- great excitement – we didn’t see him come but we went searching for footprints and clues in the playground – “we can be detectives” one of the children said. We found a little bit of fluff that may have come from his tail, but no sighting. During the morning the children had been decorating little cups with stickers – guess what – they were the perfect size for the eggs, which meant that they could be carried home safely and eaten later. What a clever rabbit !!
The children stood up at mat time and told the other children what they had done in the holidays , and drew a special picture about the holidays which will go into their art books which will go home at the end of the year.
We have a camping area set up in our room at the moment, so the children have been busy cooking on the camp fire and playing in the tent.
As you would have read on the notice about important things coming up at Kindergarten – Mothers Day is coming up soon – Invitations will follow, but keep Friday 9th May at 10.45 a.m. free to come and join us at Kindergarten.
What will happen next week ? (Some very exciting things!!)
