On Monday all of the children had a special visitor come to kindergarten to help celebrate Father’s Day. The children had been very excited in the lead up to the day, making their presents and cards. On the Friday prior to the morning tea, we baked some banana muffins. The children mashed the banana, measured the ingredients and mixed it all together. There were a few sad faces when they realised they wouldn’t eat them until the next session. We had a lot of activities set up which allowed for teamwork with our special guests and there was even indoor skittles for the children to knock over. The children proudly showed off their kindergarten room and some made a smoothie at our smoothie station. We finished the session with a few songs the children have been practising for the guests. After the presents were handed out, we noticed many guests putting the keyrings on their keys or even on the children’s bags! For some it was a teary goodbye, but what a wonderful morning – hopefully we will see some of our visitors again at kindergarten soon!
