This week we had a new boy Taksh. He is still settling in and we have all been talking about how we can make Tash and Eisei feel welcome in our kinder family. We are also talking about ‘friendships’ Aaron brought in some really good books about ‘thinking thoughts and feelings’ and many others which show us how we can participate and interact in more positive ways. We are going to start a’ Kind Heart Board’ where we post up the ‘kind’ things the children do and say, this will help enforce mutual caring and respect for each other throughout the day. We have been looking at the world we live in; the different landscapes, cities and homes, the importance of nature and trees and how the earth has changed over time. We notice fewer trees, extinct animals and pollution- we are learning about how we can look after our environment in our own small way by turning of lights, putting on warm clothes instead of a heater or walking to places rather than driving a car. We sadly had to say farewell to Ash and her babies. The children all know they are going home to a safe place on a farm where they can hop and roam free. Audrey has been kind enough to let us look after her three guinea pigs which we are all looking forward to. We also have two stick insects to look after, making sure they have fresh gum leaves weekly and a fresh spray of water each day. The vegetable patch is looking healthy and we are cooking up a nice hot ‘silver beet soup’ this week. Please make sure you bring back raffle tickets (even if you haven’t sold them they must be returned and put in green letter box for collection. Please help support our kindergarten by donating any goods for the big garage sale coming up on the 22nd June. Hope you all had a lovely long weekend Amy, Tracey, Helen and Fiona Comments are closed.
