This week has been lots of fun! The children enjoy looking at the baby chicks each morning to see how they have changed and grown. We will be able to gently hold them in the last few days they are here. Our guinea pigs (Pepe, Delta and Seal) went to a good home where they’ll be well looked after.
Our large art/craft table has been a big hit! We went to recycle art in Ringwood and found some wonderful materials for the children including, wood cuts, cylinders, bottles, paper, fabric, foam and various other materials so the children can get very creative. Audrey and Conor made houses for the baby chicks, Zihan made a kaleidoscope, Lily made a lolly pop and Jack and Lachie B made cars/trucks with wheels.
It was wonderful to have Eisei’s parents come and assist us in making sushi.
‘I love it’ said Aaron
‘Can I made another one’ said Conor
‘I can do this I’ve made this before’ said Will
‘I have this for lunch all the time’ commented Lachlan N
They helped place the rice on the seaweed paper, adding tuna and cucumber and then rolled it all up with bamboo mats. They tasted delicious! We would like to do lots more cooking from ‘other cultures’ if you have any good recipes or would like to help one morning and cook with the children , please let us know!
Please come and support our kindergarten by attending the Triva night on Friday 5th September, should be a great night for all. Please fill in the attendance sheet located near the sign in book!
