Term three has quickly come to an end and many families are looking forward to having a good break and spend some quality time together.
We have had such a busy Term three. The highlights have included dancing and music with Karen and Kylie who continue to be fun and engaging. The children continue to explore movement, space, rhythm, beat, sounds and personal expression through a range of tools and objects.
The children enjoyed exploring art though the light box where many beautiful pictures were painted using water colour paints. Throughout the term we explored colour because many of the children had been to the Monet exhibition and showed they were able to compare, contrast and interpret a range of pictures even from our story books and visual posters.
The Teddy Bears Picnic was a wonderful day! All the children brought their favourite bears to show off and we were able to enjoy the sunshine and have a picnic lunch with our soft friends. Our decorated teddy bear biscuits were delicious...followed by the traditional story ‘The teddy bears picnic’ which we all listened to at story time.
It was sad to say farewell to our lovely Marie and we celebrated with a small party for morning tea. Many of the children suggested we should write letters and contact her once she is all settled back in Paris.
Have a wonderful 2 weeks off
