We had a wonderful Fathers Day morning tea! The children prepared a small concert and everyone felt very confident because we had been practising. We sung ‘hey dad’. ‘Give me a home among the gum trees’, ‘Frère a jerquer’ and the chicken dance! All the dads spent time with their child at various activities around the room which the children really appreciated. At the end all the fathers received a painted mug and kinder made chocolate balls to enjoy at home.
The children have been collecting flowers and leaves outside to make perfume. We have decided to make our own by using essential oils and potpourri. Outside little bottles sit on the wooden stumps for the children to create all kinds of potions.
In the next few weeks we will be focusing on road safety, road signs, big machines and transport.
