The children don’t seem to feel the chill like we do! The fresh mornings don’t stop them having a wonderful time outside. In fact it’s probably more exciting because we get little pools of water and mud which the children use as a big digging patch. It’s important for children to have outside play every day to release energy and for some fresh air.
The Fathers day invitations are being made by each child so you should all receive the information. It will be on Friday 30th August starting at 8.45-9.45. The children will show a short concert and it will be a great morning to spend with your child doing activities around the room and meeting other fathers. We are in the process of making special gifts (but they are a secret)
The children enjoy ‘making’ things especially for important people like Dads! The children enjoy craft so much we have decided to have a permanent open-ended craft table for everyone to use at their own leisure. Its important children have plenty of choice around the room, where they are able to select items and use them any way they like. This gives them a sense of autonomy throughout the working process. It’s evident we have some very innovative thinkers who design, create and construct some wonderful things.
Over the week we have been threading beads, manipulating luxe flakes and slime, painting on the easel outside, learning new programs on the computers and attempting 100+ piece puzzles (for the confident children). We are looking forward to the baby chickens who will arrive of Monday in a large incubator so we can see them hatch!
