At the craft table we have been making picture collage with photos of all our kinder friends. We can also look and reflect on many of the photos such as wild action, pyjama day and activities we’ve done throughout the year.
Many children have been gathering photos of their friends and pasted them onto their pictures; a lot of them are displayed on the board or have been taken home.
This activity supports ‘identity’ and gives the children a sense of belonging, by visually seeing they are part of a kinder group and recognising they contribute in many ways. It’s good for the children to reflect and remember what they have done and achieved because sometimes we forget ‘Matilda the koala’ or that funny man ‘David the music man’ or ‘Sally and her six baby rabbits’. Photos are wonderful because they bring back memories.
We will have plenty of good memories. Throughout the day we are always taking good snap shots of the children on special occasions and during play. Have a look at the cork board with all our ‘special moments’ the children have already had a good peek, they like to admire themselves....
The professional photographer Max came to visit us and took some individual and groups pictures which will be available to purchase.
Veronica (Nicholas’s mum) donated some beautiful dinosaur pictures which look great in the room! Our mosaic dinosaur pictures are looking impressive too and it’s great to see so many of them being finished!
Happy birthday to Eve who is now 5 yrs old! Lia made fairy bread with the children which were a real treat!
