What a busy week we have had! The children spent most of the week preparing for mother’s day. They took great pride in making finger print necklaces using air dry clay and family bookmarks. The children did so well to get up in front of all the mothers to sing, as it can be rather daunting for some! The children baked a delicious passionfruit cake a few days in advance to share with all their mums!
‘My mum got breakfast in bed’ said Will
‘My mum had salmon’ said Lily
‘My mum got a cats cup’ said Claudia
‘We went out to dinner’ said Isabella
‘We made my mum jewellery using a needle and thread’ said Audrey
Outside the children are showing how good they are at football. We have heard many of the children are also involved in oz kick in the local area. We can see we have some very talented players! Will, Claudia, Jack, Jasper and Guy set up goal posts using blocks and tally up points and goals for their chosen teams. We will be setting up a big score board for the children to practise numbers and maths skills whilst following and playing a structured game.
This week we will continue to focus on road safety, transport, cities and our environment. We have read ‘where the forest meets the sea’ and UNO’s garden’ which send some important messages about how we should look after our trees, animals and wildlife- how building cities have effected nature and changed the world we live in.
We welcome Ash and her new born baby rabbits this week. Roxy was sick and unfortunately had to go to the vet.
