We can’t believe Term 1 has already finished! Overall it’s been a wonderful start to the year, seeing the children really settle in and find a real sense of belonging. The group have enjoyed several incursions including the Dinosaur Museum and Pet Education. Next term we are looking forward to music and dance classes which will continue for the rest of the year. This Term we learnt all about the lifecycle of frogs and touched briefly on dinosaurs but will revisit the topic later in the year. The children have really enjoyed being little ‘scientists’ carrying out lots of experiments using water. Last week we discovered eggs sink in fresh water but float in salt water. Our experiments will also continue as we learn and discover new things about our world.
We have learnt how to say ‘hello’ in many different languages and recognise we have many different children from a range of cultural backgrounds; we’ll be exploring this further in Term 2. At mat time we have spoken about ‘stranger danger’ and ‘emergency 000’ you might like to further discuss this at home with you child.
Last Friday we had a lovely morning tea to celebrate the end of Term (thank you for bringing a plate a share) The Easter Bunny left lots of treats outside and the children took them home in the baskets they made earlier in the week.
Our Nandini is leaving us and will be attending another kinder closer to home. We wish her all the very best…..
Enjoy your Easter everyone!
