The Woolworths Earn & Learn program is back! 
 
This community program enables schools and kindergartens throughout Australia to earn educational resources simply through the community shopping at Woolworths. For every $10 spent in store or online (exc cigarettes, liquor and gift cards) you will receive a point in the form of a sticker which you then add to a sticker sheet (available in store and we will have them at the kindergarten as well). At the end of the promotional period kindergartens and schools are then able to redeem these for resources across many educational categories including arts and crafts material, sports gear and musical instruments. 
 
Please collect as many stickers as you can (we know some of you may have to give some to school as well!) and place in the collection box in the foyer at the kindergarten. As you all know, our kindergarten is a not-for-profit organisation which relies on money raised through fundraising efforts as well as grants from local government and business to support the program.

This is a REALLY easy way to support the kinder and get our kids some fantastic new supplies without having to sell anything or hit anyone up for money! Ask Grandparents, family and friends without school aged kid and the nice lady in front of you at the supermarket for their stickers if they don’t need them!

It is not often that I am organised, especially when it comes to Christmas.... Can you believe there are Christmas decorations being sold already? However, this year there is no need to panic because our fabulous fund-raising team have thought of everything and provided toy catalogues. Brilliant. I filled mine in last night and now feel a little smug that I have started the Christmas haul. 

So all you families out there, come and join me in my smugness and get in early with your Christmas shopping. And as a bonus, raise some money for the kindy! The toy catalogues distributed last term are due to be returned next Friday (26/10/12). If you have misplaced your catalogue, don't fret - there are some spares at kindy.

Don't panic if you haven't managed to return your order form for tea towels - you have one more week of grace! Please be sure to hand in your order form by next Friday (26/10/12) to ensure you don't miss out on a wonderful momento of your child's time at kindy.
