What a busy week!
We had an exciting start on Tuesday with the visit of the Wild Action Australian Animals and Reptiles. With the help of Megan the Presenter, the children were able to see, touch and learn about so many wonderful creatures:
After this visit we talked about what they had seen and learnt, drew pictures about the animals, looked up Reference Books to discover more information, and we have photos of the visit for the children to see. What a wonderful hands on experience!
On Friday we had a visit from a Dentist who looked at the children's teeth, talked about how to brush and look after their teeth, what are healthy foods to eat, and what are sometimes foods that are for special occasions. We met Charlie the Crocodile - a puppet that helped the children to learn this information - we read a book about teeth to re-enforce what they had learnt, and will continue to talk about this. As a Group the children had very healthy teeth!
As well as these special days, the children's interests have included, and activities and play has been centred around, Insects / Dinosaurs / Australian animals and reptiles, and the children are producing some wonderful drawings and paintings.
We also continue to enjoy our dancing with Karen on Thursday and our Music with Kylie on Friday - a busy week.
What will happen next week?
